The Los Angeles Convention Center offers an ideal backdrop for crafting a captivating highlight event video. Our team at Blare Video was engaged by AAE’s (American Association of Endodonists) marketing department to capture the essence of AAE2024. Collaborating with event producers, our mission was to comprehensively cover every aspect of the event. Often, when we’re engaged by exhibitors, we remain stationed at their booth for the entire day. This requires us to maintain mobility while minimizing our footprint. Thankfully, they provided us with a well-structured plan to guide our efforts.

Under the expert direction of David Commerman as Director of Photography, our approach varied dynamically. At times, David individually handled a camera and gimbal setup, while at other moments, he maneuvered a compact cart equipped with an audio kit and LED light panel for attendee soundbites. Most of the time, David impressively managed the operation solo. Occasionally, Mauricio Tapia, our on-site editor, provided assistance, though his primary focus was the timely preparation of deliverables.

In addition to creating the main highlight event video, we also edited a concise version optimized for social media, which was delivered promptly post-event.

The event concluded in style with an exciting party at Universal Studios. AAE truly excels in providing attendees with amazing speakers, valuable networking opportunities, and plenty of fun. We eagerly anticipate partnering with them on future events.

Producing a standout highlight event video involves strategically capturing the essence of the occasion. It begins with target-shot planning, ensuring every memorable moment is archived. The camera team, adept on-site, follows a detailed schedule, shooting everything from attendees’ arrival to the event’s key highlights. Their presence assures that no impromptu, yet significant, moments are missed, be it a speaker’s inspiring anecdote or a spontaneous interaction among participants.

Once the footage is captured, the editing team steps in to weave a compelling narrative. Creative editing techniques emphasize unique stories, with careful sequencing of visuals to maintain viewer engagement. Incorporating interviews and candid shots further animates the storyline, presenting a well-rounded view of the event’s atmosphere.

An effective closing montage is crucial; it not only showcases the event impact but also stirs emotion. By displaying attendees exchanging ideas and forming connections, the video portrays the true spirit of the event, inciting future attendance and ongoing interest—all captured with finesse and expertise.
