Our recent collaboration with Scope Studios of Bakersfield, California, on a Solar Power TV/cable commercial series was an engaging play on words. Our client, Bland Solar, served as the amusing foundation. Jon and Jean-Luc Slagle from Scope Studios brilliantly came up with an ironically engaging theme. Arguably, bland and solar may not be the most exciting words akin to ‘paint drying’, but their creativity morphed a basic concept into an entertaining series of commercials. It demonstrated the humorous side of a marketing team thinking outside the box. Yet, isn’t that what brainstorming is all about? Maybe we’re overthinking, but what matters most is that we’ve been lucky to partner up with innovative minds in this exciting project.

Throughout the years, we’ve had the privilege to focus solely on the production aspect without drowning in deep thinking. We simply translate the vision into digital video, trusting that all other aspects have been handled. Being part of pre-production discussions and having our input valued means we can concentrate on delivering high-quality shots. This Solar Power commercial series bears testament to that.

Each of the three videos begins in a board room setting. Our featured video whisks our protagonist to the North Pole, reminiscent of a certain breath mint commercial. The second one has us reminiscing the Old Tucson Studios, while the last installment has a distinct Indiana Jones vibe. Despite their diverse themes, they all spotlight our reluctant hero from Bland Solar.
