Here was a super fun Rock Music Video Production we had the joy to work on. Imagine this: you’re on a mission to create an exciting rock music video, and you find yourself right in the heart of a thrilling adventure. This project was not just another day on the set but an exhilarating escapade, teetering on the brink of disaster. First, our eager crew, fully laden with production equipment, embarked on a lengthy drive to a remote bar nestled high in the Hill near Santa Cruz, anticipating the exciting shoot ahead.

Just as they started to set up, an unanticipated hitch threatened to derail the whole shoot. Can you picture the moment of sheer panic as they noticed the absence of our critical camera case? Suddenly, we found ourselves staring down the prospect of a lost shooting day. With our director Ro Leon and assistant Breanna hardly a stone’s throw away and no feasible way to make a 4-hour round trip retrieval in time, the blinds seemed to be closing on our production.

We wracked our brains for a solution, even reaching out to local camera rental businesses, only to realize it was Saturday and no shops were open. Just as our hopes were dwindling, fortune decided to favour us. Out of nowhere, we connected with two filmmaker brothers living in Santa Cruz who generously offered their Canon 5D Mark 3 cameras for our use. Though not as powerful as our initial Red Ultra HD, they proved indispensable to our project.

With renewed spirits and the shooting crisis averted, we surged ahead under the direction of Blare Video’s Ro Leon. I bet you can picture us – the crew, model Brittney, and the Rippin Band, led by Jeff Rippin who had arranged the location and fans, diving headfirst into the production of the compellingly titled track, “I’m a little Jealous.” Believe me, it was an unforgettable experience, culminating in a literal surprise – a final shot featuring a gun yielding not a bullet, but a flag with the word “Bang.”
