Let me take you behind the scenes of our engaging idol music video creation. We worked with the brilliant duo – Director Christian Strickland and Director of Photography Greg Amaro. The spotlight of our project was the rising star, Nicci Nix. All editing, color correction, and light animation was skillfully handled by our team at BLARE Video. Shot in the scenic state of California, we leveraged an array of high-end, professional gear which included a comprehensive grip and lighting truck.  Our equipment arsenal comprised of HMI lights, a Matthews Dolly and jib, and our reliable RED One camera. Collaborating with Nicci was truly an enriching experience. This project serves as a testament to the incredible results that can be achieved, even on a shoestring budget.

Our journey began with meticulous planning. Together with Christian and Greg, we crafted a compelling storyboard that complimented Nicci’s soulful music and charismatic persona justly. Nicci’s song, “Butterflies”, served as the guiding soundtrack for our visual narrative. The vibrancy, energy, and emotion that the song carried were vital elements we made sure to capture and transcent into our video.

Rolling the Cameras

As we began filming, we made full use of the stunning California landscape. Craggy coasts, lush forests – each scene was meticulously chosen to reflect the upbeat and youthful energy of Nicci’s track. We amalgamated her youthful exuberance and strong performance skills with the breath-taking beauty of our natural backdrops. We picked iconic locations such as the Santa Monica Pier and the Griffith Observatory that gave a distinct feel and character to the video.

Post-Production Magic

Once the filming phase concluded, we dived into the intricate task of post-production. Our expert team used advanced editing software to assemble the raw footage into a coherent and thrilling narrative, strictly aligning with our established storyboard.
