Video Infographic Production

Discover the fascinating journey of video infographic production that we embarked on for the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University. This insightful project came to us, at Blare Video, just as an important election loomed on the horizon. Tasked with creating an educational infographic video, we delved into the subject, painting a vivid picture of applying ethics when choosing a political candidate. This video also supported a downloadable guide penned by one of the Center’s esteemed founders.

We welcomed the chance to demonstrate our proficiency in creating “explainer videos”, a category that is rapidly gaining traction in the world of video communication. This project called on us to produce, design graphics, and animate – challenges we met with relative ease, delivering a top-notch video on time and budget. Serving as a valuable testament to our adaptability, this production illustrates our ability to craft engaging, informative videos that blend style with substance for a variety of audiences.

Video infographic production has revolutionized the way we present and understand data. It’s important for you, the reader, to grasp the essence of this process. With that said, let’s take a dive into the world of video infographics, shedding light on its production methodology and the incredible value it brings with it.

Video infographics, in layman’s terms, are essentially moving versions of static infographics. This format integrates multimedia elements like audio, video, motion, and time, transforming the otherwise mundane information into a stimulating visual treat. But, one might ask, how exactly are these produced?

The Production Process:

  1. Concept Development: Just like any other creative process, video infographic production starts with brainstorming and developing a concept. You have to identify the message you want to convey and plan how to visualize it effectively.
  2. Script Writing: Next, you pen down the narrative- this is your script. It acts as a guide, directing the flow and structure of the information you’re presenting.
  3. Storyboard Creation: A storyboard is drafted, outlining the video’s sequence visually. It’s essentially a comic strip of your video, illustrating what’ll happen and where.
  4. Design & Animation: This is where your concept and the storyboard come alive. Using graphic design software, the elements are designed and then animated based on the storyboard.
  5. Adding Sound: The last step in the production process is to incorporate sound. This includes voice-over, background music, or sound effects to enhance the viewing experience.
