Blood Center Commercial

Blood Center Commercial

Here is a Blood Center Commercial we were lucky to be a part of. Imagine this: a trio of paintball enthusiasts respond to a woman’s alluring call to “shed some real blood.” This happens not on a paintball field, but at the Central California Blood Center. The catch? They’re there to donate blood. This ingenious concept, designed for the Commercial/PSA campaign, was masterminded by Doug Morris. It was brought to life by producers Justin McAleece and Jason Wada of Blare Media, partnering with the Fresno Advertising Federation. Just like drawing blood, creating commercials for indispensable non-profit organizations can be challenging and draining, but the sense of satisfaction that follows is deeply rewarding.

In the current crossroads of technology and media, we’re witnessing an exciting surge in the commercial production of blood products at dedicated blood centers. These facilities are equipped with advanced equipment and highly trained professionals committed to ensuring the safest and most effective blood products are available for transfusion therapy and other medical uses.

Key Stages of Commercial Blood Production

  1. Donor Recruitment: This is the first and most crucial stage where healthy individuals are encouraged to donate blood through various outreach programs, such as community events and blood drives.
  2. Screening and Testing: The donor’s blood is rigorously tested for any infectious diseases and other irregularities. Their overall health is also assessed to ensure they are fit for donation.
  3. Processing and Storage: Donated blood is processed into various components like red blood cells, plasma, and platelets before being safely stored until required.
  4. Distribution: Blood products are then distributed to hospitals and clinics where they are put to life-saving use.

We understand that the entire process might seem a bit overwhelming, but remember, it’s all done with the incredible aim of saving and improving lives. Your trust and patronage of these centers play a part in this noble pursuit.
