Trade School TV Commercial
Trade School TV Commercial
Let’s delve into the exciting world of a trade school TV commercial, specifically the one created for the vocational powerhouse, San Joaquin Valley College or SJVC. This platform serves as a poignant reminder of the plethora of trade school programs that community colleges provide. The SJVC commercial primarily extolls the virtues of carving a career path in the field of criminal justice, offering hands-on training and competitive certification in corrections.
This TV commercial was not our first venture with SJVC. However, it was a groundbreaking endeavor because we chose to push the creative boundaries this time. Wishing to showcase the immersive, hands-on training experience, we brought the viewers up close and personal with the students. How did we do this? Simple. We transformed our camera operator into an actor! Equipped with a specially rigged helmet sporting a Canon DLSR camera, our cameraman took on the role of a student. The camera’s wireless video transmitter allowed the director to access the camera operator’s perspective, enhancing the ‘you-are-there’ effect. This innovative storytelling technique was undoubtedly a thrilling experience for all parties involved. Credit goes to Justin McAleece of Blare Video for his role as the Director of Photography (DP) and Joann Mercado, who masterfully played the actor/camera operator. The direction was skillfully handled by Byron Watkins of Windsong Productions, and they also oversaw the editing and post-production of the footage.
Once again, we have relished the creative challenge. Our quest is perpetually focused on uncovering fresh and groundbreaking methods to narrate a tale. This project is just one among the many we have embarked on. If your curiosity piques or you need further information, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
